Professional General Automotive Services
Why should I maintain my vehicle?
Anything as complex as the modern automobile will need to be inspected and serviced on a regular schedule. Even if each component was designed and manufactured flawlessly, outside influences and conditions will cause them to wear or become damaged, requiring repair or replacement. Vehicles today are many times more reliable than they were as few as twenty years ago, but they need service and maintenance to keep them that way. So investing periodically in the replacement in fluids and filters, along with a thorough inspections to catch wear and damage before a breakdown occurs, can only save you money and give you the peace of mind you want from your vehicle.

- Check tire pressure
- De-winterize your car. If you installed snow tires, change them now. Clean your undercarriage after if it has been in contact with snow, ice and salt. Also check all fluid levels.
- Inspect belts and hoses.
- Change air filter. Over the winter, your car's air filter can get clogged with salt and other thick debris. A clogged air filter can really lower your fuel efficiency.
- Replace windshield wipers. Ice, snow, salt and extreme temperatures make cracks and tears in the rubber that lower the effectiveness of the wipers.
- Get a brake check if you haven't had one in the last six months.
- Check coolant and radiator. If an engine is allowed to get too hot, moving metal parts can actually start to melt and fuse together, causing a variety of internal problems for your engine.
- Clean your battery. Corroded battery terminals prevent your car from running at its best.
- Make sure air conditioning is working properly.
